In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind Hafik JK's goalkeeper Fahrettin Neba, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Giresun's Poyraz Vacit got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 44 minutes into the match, Giresun's goal looked a bit too open when Yahya Kemal Altunışık came free, but Sami Özger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. İlkan Ünlü's late challenge caught a Hafik JK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. İlkan Ünlü helped the player get up and apologised. In the 49th minute, İlkan Ünlü hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell İbrahim Efe Hazer to make the kick off. Giresun's Sami Özger proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save Giresun from getting a goal against them. Yahya Kemal Altunışık's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Sami Özger firmly grabbed it by the left post. Fahrettin Neba showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Atilla Bumin Hirfet in the 70th minute of the match. In the 77th minute İbrahim Efe Hazer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sami Özger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Yahya Kemal Altunışık had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Yahya Kemal Altunışık got free with Sami Özger in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Yahya Kemal Altunışık recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With his leg Sami Özger managed to avoid a goal in the 88thth minute, when Hafik JK's Yahya Kemal Altunışık fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Poyraz Vacit fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fahrettin Neba having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Hafik JK's Samet Vasif got a free kick in the 91st minute. Fahrettin Neba showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Poyraz Vacit, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. If Atilla Bumin Hirfet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 97 minutes into the game, İbrahim Efe Hazer was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Hafik JK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Giresun the free kick.
