The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ali Cafer Öksüz during the 3rd minute. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gürkan Kutun couldn't finish the play. When the match had gone on for 33 minutes, Necip Topuz took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Ahmet Hamdi Tolun to make any attempt to save it. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

After a rather tough play, Nazimiye's Volkan Mertkal got a free kick in the 76th minute. Gürkan Kutun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Gürkan Kutun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Kemerburgaz SK booed when Nazimiye was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abdulvahit Zühtü didn't get a good kick on the ball.
