The audience thought a goal was coming when Atalay Sanal got free with Şadi Ülkümen in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. But to his dismay, Atalay Sanal quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Şafak Sefer scored 4-0 in the 45th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Şadi Ülkümen, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Şadi Ülkümen was out of position in the 48 minute of play, and Ayhan Salahaddin capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ayhan Salahaddin really showed his touch with that goal: 5-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 5-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rıfkı Aytolun made a kick off. Şamil Akpınar's late challenge caught a Lapseki JK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Şamil Akpınar helped the player get up and apologised. In the 53rd match minute, Eskişehirspor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Şamil Akpınar to maneuver through the defense. In the 54th minute, Murat Selim Sağıt sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Eskişehirspor's Şadi Ülkümen didn't even have to move. Eskişehirspor's Şadi Ülkümen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Atalay Sanal in the 73rd minute of play. In the 75th minute Şafak Sefer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Şadi Ülkümen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rıfkı Aytolun in the 85th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Şadi Ülkümen saved Eskişehirspor from getting behind. 87 minutes into the match, Atalay Sanal notched a goal, 9-0, to the right of Eskişehirspor's Şadi Ülkümen. Şadi Ülkümen was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Lapseki JK's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
