Mehmet Akif Kılıçdaroğlu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arın Ferhat Aktaşoğlu in the 29th minute of play. 33 minutes into the match, Altay Spor's goal looked a bit too open when Arın Ferhat Aktaşoğlu came free, but Mehmet Akif Kılıçdaroğlu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ali Cengiz İklim kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. After 37 played minutes Altay Spor got a freekick which was hit by Rıza Altuner. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mecnun Canser in the 41st minute of play forced Gökceyazi JK's goalkeeper Cafer İlteber to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cafer İlteber took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mecnun Canser, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Çağdaş Türev to strike the kick off in the second half. Mecnun Canser received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Cafer İlteber tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 58 played minutes Altay Spor got a freekick which was hit by Ali Cengiz İklim. Altay Spor's Mehmet Akif Kılıçdaroğlu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save Altay Spor from getting a goal against them. If Mecnun Canser had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rıza Altuner struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Cafer İlteber didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Altay Spor. Altay Spor's Mecnun Canser got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tayfun Özsahin hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. In the 88th minute, Ali Cengiz İklim got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Mecnun Canser had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Despite being the better team, Altay Spor failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
