In the 8th minute of the match, Özgür Yekta tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Merih Baloğlu saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. With a little luck, Galatasaray's Merih Baloğlu got control of the ball when Kamber Bozyiğit tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ali Ömer Kılınç in the 12th minute of play forced Anadolu SK's goalkeeper Doruk Diclehan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Doruk Diclehan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ali Ömer Kılınç, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. In the 16th minute, Ali Ömer Kılınç left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Galatasaray fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. 20 minutes into the game, Semi Tunak cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Galatasaray's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Latif Kutan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Zikri Satı was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 30 minutes into the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 30th minute of the game. One of Galatasaray:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Anadolu SK:s goal. Galatasaray:s Merih Baloğlu showed great skill when he stopped Latif Kutan:s penalty. It was a brilliant solo performance by Anadolu SK's Latif Kutan when he shot the ball into the net to 3-2 in the 33rd minute. Doruk Diclehan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ali Ömer Kılınç in the 40th minute of play. Kamber Bozyiğit hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Anadolu SK's Doruk Diclehan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ali Ömer Kılınç in the 43rd minute of play. Merih Baloğlu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yusuf Ünlüol in the 44th minute of the match. After 47 minutes, Latif Kutan made it 4-2 with a short kick to the right side. Galatasaray's Merih Baloğlu tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Özgür Yekta to make the kick off. 54 minutes into the game, Kamber Bozyiğit cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-2. Merih Baloğlu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The tension between the Galatasaray and the Anadolu SK players grew even worse after the yellow card. 62 minutes into the game, one of Galatasaray:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When Kürşat Siraceddin came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Galatasaray fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kürşat Siraceddin couldn't finish the play. Anadolu SK's Kamber Bozyiğit got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ali Ömer Kılınç's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Doruk Diclehan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 80th minute of play. Latif Kutan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Merih Baloğlu having to make a save. Yusuf Ünlüol recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Kürşat Siraceddin fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Galatasaray's protests and gave Kürşat Siraceddin a yellow card for diving instead. After 93 played minutes Galatasaray got a freekick which was hit by Kürşat Siraceddin.
