Lech Siekierski came out of the goal in the 4th minute to try and stop a shot by Sarayburnu's Gökçek Karanalp. But to his dismay, Gökçek Karanalp quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Sarayburnu's Ahmet İlhan Yersel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Sarayburnu from getting a goal against them. 16 minutes into the match, CİHANBEYLİ İNSUYU SPOR's Serter Fırat sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ahmet İlhan Yersel narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to CİHANBEYLİ İNSUYU SPOR getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Serter Fırat hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Sarayburnu's zone, Korhan Babaoğlu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ahmet İlhan Yersel came out of the goal and Korhan Babaoğlu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of CİHANBEYLİ İNSUYU SPOR booed when Sarayburnu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Refik Halit Refet didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ahmet İlhan Yersel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cemalettin İslamoğlu in the 33rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Sarayburnu's Sebati Zafir got a free kick in the 34th minute. Korhan Babaoğlu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ahmet İlhan Yersel having to interfere. Gökçek Karanalp received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Lech Siekierski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind CİHANBEYLİ İNSUYU SPOR's goalkeeper Lech Siekierski, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Serter Fırat got free with Ahmet İlhan Yersel in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 47th match minute, Sarayburnu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mehmet Arif Tefhim to maneuver through the defense. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Şamil Zorlu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Sarayburnu's Gökçek Karanalp got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, CİHANBEYLİ İNSUYU SPOR's Lech Siekierski got control of the ball when Gökçek Karanalp tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Nusrettin Kırdar came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Sarayburnu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nusrettin Kırdar couldn't finish the play. Cemalettin İslamoğlu struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Ahmet İlhan Yersel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CİHANBEYLİ İNSUYU SPOR. An unexpectedly hard shot by Korhan Babaoğlu in the 64th minute of play forced Sarayburnu's goalkeeper Ahmet İlhan Yersel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. CİHANBEYLİ İNSUYU SPOR's Serter Fırat got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The CİHANBEYLİ İNSUYU SPOR fans' excitement grew in the 74th match minute when CİHANBEYLİ İNSUYU SPOR's Korhan Babaoğlu looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. If Gökçek Karanalp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gökçek Karanalp could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Lech Siekierski made a huge save. CİHANBEYLİ İNSUYU SPOR's Korhan Babaoğlu suffered a concussion after 93 minutes and had to leave the field. Refik Halit Refet charged in rather forcefully in the 94th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Refik Halit Refet the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. CİHANBEYLİ İNSUYU SPOR's Cengizhan Pekant was substituted for Mete Neval. After 93 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Sarayburnu! The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. CİHANBEYLİ İNSUYU SPOR had won after a very even match.
