With an extended leg and a bit of luck Halil Sancaktar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 11 minutes into the match, Tokat SK's goal looked a bit too open when Gürbüz Tekmil came free, but Mustafa Barış Tefhim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erdinç Öztanır in the 12th minute of play forced Viransehir's goalkeeper Halil Sancaktar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 18 minutes, Cumhur Abanoz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tokat SK and the Viransehir players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Tokat SK booed when Viransehir was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Selim Ustaoğlu didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 25th minute the ball was on its way in behind Viransehir's goalkeeper Halil Sancaktar, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Halil Sancaktar yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Mustafa Barış Tefhim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kıraç Abide, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. When Özbek Tuğsan fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Viransehir's protests and gave Özbek Tuğsan a yellow card for diving instead. Özbek Tuğsan kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. After some careless play in the Viransehir defense, Cumhur Abanoz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Halil Sancaktar. The Viransehir fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Halil Sancaktar should have stopped the shot. Zikri Hancı sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Halil Sancaktar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erdinç Öztanır in the 45th minute of the match. When Viransehir's Zikri Hancı in the 47th minute got a chance for a shot 47th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Tokat SK's goalie prevented a goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Zikri Hancı to make the kick off. In the 53rd match minute, Tokat SK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Utkan Nurbay to maneuver through the defense. After 67 played minutes Viransehir got a freekick which was hit by Özbek Tuğsan. If Erdinç Öztanır had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Halil Sancaktar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erdinç Öztanır in the 72nd minute of the match. Halil Sancaktar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erdinç Öztanır in the 81st minute of play. The supporters of Viransehir booed when Tokat SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cumhur Abanoz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mustafa Oğuz Ehlimen hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Özbek Tuğsan got his second yellow card in the match during the 90th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Halil Sancaktar came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by Tokat SK's Erdinç Öztanır. But to his dismay, Erdinç Öztanır quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Tokat SK's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
