Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 1-0 became the score in the 19th minute when Mustafa Haydar Togay elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. 29 minutes into the game, Çağlar Suerkan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Eleskirt's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Trabzonspor the free kick. After 29 played minutes Eleskirt got a freekick which was hit by Çağlar Suerkan. When the match clock showed 31 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Ünsal Özmen sped through Trabzonspor's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Baybora Topçay. When Keramettin Midilli came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Eleskirt fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Keramettin Midilli couldn't finish the play. Eleskirt's Barbaros Baysan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Murat Selim Yoran in the 54th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Keramettin Midilli was the one to do the kick off. Eleskirt's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ünsal Özmen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
