Refik Öztürk showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Mürsel Nizam showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Savaş Uskan in the 7th minute of the match. Kiziltoprak's Emran Sağanalp played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Refik Öztürk in the 19th minute of play. If Atay Adal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Emran Sağanalp took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Atay Adal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Refik Öztürk might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Emran Sağanalp. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Refik Öztürk ran back to his position shaking his head. Melih Cevdet Eyüpoğlu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Melih Cevdet Eyüpoğlu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mürsel Nizam having to interfere. Emran Sağanalp showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Refik Öztürk in the 46th minute of the match. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Refik Öztürk to strike the kick off in the second half. Yenal Yenbu kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. 53 minutes into the match, Ramazan Özpulat sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Mürsel Nizam threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Ramazan Özpulat this time. Melih Cevdet Eyüpoğlu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Mürsel Nizam made a huge save. Atay Adal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 95th minute, Refik Öztürk made a precise shot to the right of Emran Sağanalp. Kiziltoprak's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Many of Kiziltoprak's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Kiziltoprak may have spent more time on the ball, but Mengen were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
