Yusufeli's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marcelo Bodon was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mahsun Yalap in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Olcay Orkun Toraman prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 9 minutes into the game, Soner Oğuz threw the ball into play from the sideline. Beşiktaş's Arda Baybars Arabacı quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. The supporters of Beşiktaş booed when Yusufeli was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Özer Hekim didn't get a good kick on the ball. Olcay Orkun Toraman made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marcelo Bodon in the 12th minute. Hüseyin Rahmi Mevlit took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from İstemihan Hikmettin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Berker Rıza Kaplan charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Berker Rıza Kaplan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Beşiktaş getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Berker Rıza Kaplan hit a great ball. Hüseyin Rahmi Mevlit took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from İstemihan Hikmettin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Olcay Orkun Toraman didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mahsun Yalap went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Mahsun Yalap sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 25th minute of the match Özer Hekim sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hüseyin Rahmi Mevlit skillfully saved the ball. 27 minutes into the match, Yusufeli's goalkeeper Olcay Orkun Toraman had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mahsun Yalap. In the 28th minute, Berker Rıza Kaplan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Olcay Orkun Toraman was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. After a rather tough play, Beşiktaş's Marcelo Bodon got a free kick in the 33rd minute. In the 36th minute, Mahsun Yalap got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mahsun Yalap recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Berker Rıza Kaplan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Beşiktaş's supporters rose to their feet, but Berker Rıza Kaplan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Olcay Orkun Toraman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 43rd match minute, Beşiktaş was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Berker Rıza Kaplan to maneuver through the defense. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mahsun Yalap was the one to do the kick off. If Mahsun Yalap had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mahsun Yalap received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Olcay Orkun Toraman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Yusufeli's zone, Mahsun Yalap stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Olcay Orkun Toraman came out of the goal and Mahsun Yalap tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 66th minute, Berker Rıza Kaplan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Berker Rıza Kaplan might have been able to make a better finish in the 68th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Olcay Orkun Toraman. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Berker Rıza Kaplan ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, Yusufeli's Hasan Can Özsen got a free kick in the 71st minute. Baran Arısan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mahsun Yalap received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Olcay Orkun Toraman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mahsun Yalap ran back to his position shaking his head. Berker Rıza Kaplan kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. Beşiktaş walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
