Demir Müslim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 7 minutes in the game, Mehmet Emin Kayaer fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Demir Müslim having to interfere. If Şeref Vahdettin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in İzmirTürkGücüFC's zone, Mehmet Emin Kayaer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Demir Müslim came out of the goal and Mehmet Emin Kayaer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 18 minutes into the match, BARSELONA's Leif Rydberg sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Demir Müslim narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Demir Müslim made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Enginalp Yazgan sent off a good shot on target. Arslan Derelioğlu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Utku Osmanoğlu, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Demir Müslim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leif Rydberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Demir Müslim made an important save on a dangerous shot by Enginalp Yazgan in the 37th minute. Demir Müslim was out of position in the 39 minute of play, and Leif Rydberg capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Leif Rydberg really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. 46 minutes into the match, İzmirTürkGücüFC's goal looked a bit too open when Metehan Torcan came free, but Demir Müslim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 48 played minutes İzmirTürkGücüFC got a freekick which was hit by Utku Osmanoğlu. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Utku Osmanoğlu made a kick off. Mehmet Emin Kayaer scored 2-0 in the 55th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Demir Müslim, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of BARSELONA booed when İzmirTürkGücüFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Koray Ulun didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in İzmirTürkGücüFC's zone, Leif Rydberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Demir Müslim came out of the goal and Leif Rydberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 67 minutes into the match, İzmirTürkGücüFC's goal looked a bit too open when Enginalp Yazgan came free, but Demir Müslim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. BARSELONA's Leif Rydberg quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Serbülent Omay, made in the 72nd minute of the game. Demir Müslim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Enginalp Yazgan, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. İzmirTürkGücüFC's Demir Müslim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Metehan Torcan in the 78th minute of play. Can Yalaza made in the 84th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Utku Osmanoğlu however managed to control. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leif Rydberg in the 86th minute of play forced İzmirTürkGücüFC's goalkeeper Demir Müslim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. BARSELONA's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Enginalp Yazgan in the 93rd minute. Leif Rydberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. İzmirTürkGücüFC's Demir Müslim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Enginalp Yazgan in the 96th minute of play. After some careless play in the İzmirTürkGücüFC defense, Leif Rydberg kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Demir Müslim. The İzmirTürkGücüFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Demir Müslim should have stopped the shot. BARSELONA walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
