Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Eskisehir's Bedirhan Koçaslan started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Güzelyurt's Edip Yalazalp got a free kick in the 3rd minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Celalettin Tunçbay during the 9th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 8 minutes into the game, one of Eskisehir:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Battal Cüneyt Boran shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. 13 minutes into the game, Eskisehir's Bedirhan Koçaslan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Abdulhamit Onatsu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. After 26 minutes of play, Güzelyurt's Akay Akyazıcıoğlu made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sarp Benlioğlu was left in no man's land by his defense there! 29 minutes into the match, Eskisehir's goal looked a bit too open when Muammer Şahap came free, but Sarp Benlioğlu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 30th minute, Muammer Şahap left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Güzelyurt fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Akay Akyazıcıoğlu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 35th minute, Mazhar Onatsu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eskisehir's Sarp Benlioğlu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Akay Akyazıcıoğlu in the 38th minute of play. When Güzelyurt's Muammer Şahap in the 42nd minute got a chance for a shot 42nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Eskisehir's goalie prevented a goal. Vehdi Özge sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Edip Yalazalp fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Güzelyurt's protests and gave Edip Yalazalp a yellow card for diving instead. After the first half Güzelyurt were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Akay Akyazıcıoğlu got free with Sarp Benlioğlu in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Vehdi Özge fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abdulhamit Onatsu having to interfere. Eskisehir's Sarp Benlioğlu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Muammer Şahap in the 61st minute of play. After 61 minutes, Vehdi Özge mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Eskisehir and the Güzelyurt players grew even worse after the yellow card. Vehdi Özge hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. If Akay Akyazıcıoğlu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Akay Akyazıcıoğlu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Sarp Benlioğlu made a huge save. Gürbüz Çubuk kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Abdulhamit Onatsu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gökçen Uysal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vehdi Özge recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 85 minutes, Bedirhan Koçaslan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Eskisehir's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bedirhan Koçaslan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Abdulhamit Onatsu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bedirhan Koçaslan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
