In the 3rd minute, Çılgın Hamsi's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Samim Talayhan fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. A collision led to Çılgın Hamsi getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Güven Gencal hit a great ball. In the 16th match minute, Çılgın Hamsi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Şeref Sağıt to maneuver through the defense. Vahap Saatçi made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Samim Talayhan sent off a good shot on target. Brannon Tracy recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rüknettin Biçimli's late challenge caught a Çılgın Hamsi's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rüknettin Biçimli helped the player get up and apologised. Rüknettin Biçimli hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Samim Talayhan's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Vahap Saatçi firmly grabbed it by the left post. Erkin Çiltay succeeded in the game's 25th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-1. Çılgın Hamsi's Vahap Saatçi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save Çılgın Hamsi from getting a goal against them. In the 31st match minute, Elazig FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ali Galip Serdaroğlu to maneuver through the defense. After 33 played minutes Elazig FK got a freekick which was hit by Rüknettin Biçimli. In the 33rd minute of the match Nichifor Buznea shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tayyip Baykır showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Ali Galip Serdaroğlu's late challenge caught a Çılgın Hamsi's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Elazig FK's Tayyip Baykır played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nichifor Buznea in the 43rd minute of play. 46 minutes into the match, Elazig FK's goal looked a bit too open when Nichifor Buznea came free, but Tayyip Baykır reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ali Galip Serdaroğlu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vahap Saatçi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 48th minute of play.

In the 51st match minute, Çılgın Hamsi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Güven Gencal to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Elazig FK's Aytunç Kutay tried to score from far away in the 53rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Tayyip Baykır took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erkin Çiltay, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Erkin Çiltay received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Tayyip Baykır tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Erkin Çiltay in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tayyip Baykır prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Tayyip Baykır was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Erkin Çiltay showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-2 in the 61 minute of play. Vahap Saatçi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Samim Talayhan went, in the 65th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. In the 70th minute Ali Galip Serdaroğlu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vahap Saatçi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nichifor Buznea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tayyip Baykır having to interfere. Vahap Saatçi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Samim Talayhan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 1-3 became the score in the 78th minute when Erkin Çiltay elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nichifor Buznea got free with Tayyip Baykır in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Çılgın Hamsi booed when Elazig FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rüknettin Biçimli didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Elazig FK's zone, Erkin Çiltay stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tayyip Baykır came out of the goal and Erkin Çiltay tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Erkin Çiltay came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Çılgın Hamsi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Erkin Çiltay couldn't finish the play. Nichifor Buznea could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Tayyip Baykır made a huge save.
