Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The supporters of ARDAHANSPOR booed when Galatasaray was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ahmet Necdet Zeyyat didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Galatasaray's zone, Gökmen Şıran stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Abayhan Özgenalp came out of the goal and Gökmen Şıran tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 5 minutes into the match, ARDAHANSPOR's Oğuzkan Demiroğlu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Abayhan Özgenalp narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Abayhan Özgenalp showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oğuzkan Demiroğlu, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Hakkı Deniz Canpolat kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in ARDAHANSPOR's zone, Hakkı Deniz Canpolat stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kerimhan Gürçınar came out of the goal and Hakkı Deniz Canpolat tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 20th minute Yüksel Dalmaz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abayhan Özgenalp saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Galatasaray's Abayhan Özgenalp played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yüksel Dalmaz in the 21st minute of play. In the 23rd minute, Oğuzkan Demiroğlu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 24th minute Yüksel Dalmaz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abayhan Özgenalp saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yüksel Dalmaz in the 26th minute of play forced Galatasaray's goalkeeper Abayhan Özgenalp to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Abayhan Özgenalp took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yüksel Dalmaz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Oğuzkan Demiroğlu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Hakkı Deniz Canpolat fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Galatasaray's protests and gave Hakkı Deniz Canpolat a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Galatasaray getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Hakkı Deniz Canpolat hit a great ball. If Yüksel Dalmaz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Oğuzkan Demiroğlu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Abayhan Özgenalp read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. ARDAHANSPOR's Oğuzkan Demiroğlu got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Abayhan Özgenalp made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oğuzkan Demiroğlu in the 40th minute of play. Aysan Acunman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 44th minute, Hakkı Deniz Canpolat got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 46th minute, Hamza Sırat hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Oğuzkan Demiroğlu made the kick off in the second half. Hakkı Deniz Canpolat recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Aysan Acunman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Kerimhan Gürçınar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Yüksel Dalmaz came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the ARDAHANSPOR fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Yüksel Dalmaz couldn't finish the play. Oğuzkan Demiroğlu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Abayhan Özgenalp tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. ARDAHANSPOR were awarded a corner in the 68th minute after Galatasaray's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Gökmen Şıran took the corner. Galatasaray's Abayhan Özgenalp proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save Galatasaray from getting a goal against them. Yüksel Dalmaz took the ball and in the 74 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Abayhan Özgenalp. Abayhan Özgenalp dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Aysan Acunman kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched ARDAHANSPOR eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
