The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Bektaş Veli Ekincioğlu fell near the penalty area in the 2nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kumlu FK's protests and gave Bektaş Veli Ekincioğlu a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Kumlu FK's Bektaş Veli Ekincioğlu got a free kick in the 2nd minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Göktuğ İklim during the 7th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Umut Okan came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by Eskişehirspor's Natalio Lastur. But to his dismay, Natalio Lastur quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. If Bilge Tekrim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 14th minute, Eskişehirspor's Nurtekin Demirman dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. A hard shot 19 in the game by Nurtekin Demirman from a close distance when the talented Umut Okan managed to make a qualified save. Kumlu FK's players were relieved. Umut Okan made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Gunnar Bergqvist sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gunnar Bergqvist in the 24th minute of play forced Kumlu FK's goalkeeper Umut Okan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kumlu FK's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Nurtekin Demirman 25 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 3-0. In the 29th play minute Gunnar Bergqvist came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Umut Okan. 4-0. Umut Okan was a little too slow when Gunnar Bergqvist got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 33rd minute. The score was now 5-0. Nurtekin Demirman's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 37thth minute, Umut Okan skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Batı Kemal's late challenge caught a Eskişehirspor's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Batı Kemal helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Eskişehirspor booed when Kumlu FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Batı Kemal didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Kumlu FK's zone, Mustafa Kemal Paşa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Umut Okan came out of the goal and Mustafa Kemal Paşa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 43 minutes into the game, Mustafa Kemal Paşa recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Umut Okan. Mustafa Kemal Paşa showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 6-0. Umut Okan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Natalio Lastur in the 48th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 6-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Umut Okan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nurtekin Demirman in the 53rd minute of play. Mustafa Kemal Paşa scored 7-0 in the 54th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Umut Okan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Natalio Lastur might have been able to make a better finish in the 62nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Umut Okan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Natalio Lastur ran back to his position shaking his head. When Eskişehirspor's Nurtekin Demirman in the 64th minute got a chance for a shot 64th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Kumlu FK's goalie prevented a goal. Natalio Lastur sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 72nd minute, Nurtekin Demirman left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Eskişehirspor fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 9-0. Bilge Tekrim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mustafa Kemal Paşa struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Umut Okan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Eskişehirspor. If Mustafa Kemal Paşa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A collision led to Kumlu FK getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Göktuğ İklim hit a great ball. Gunnar Bergqvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Umut Okan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 87th minute, Gunnar Bergqvist got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mustafa Kemal Paşa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Umut Okan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nurtekin Demirman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Umut Okan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mustafa Kemal Paşa in the 95th minute of the match. Eskişehirspor's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
