Baha Gazir struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Mehmet Bedri Uğursel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Eminönü. When Gökmen Urkan fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored YOLBAŞI FC's protests and gave Gökmen Urkan a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, YOLBAŞI FC's Gökmen Urkan got a free kick in the 20th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Eminönü's Alfredo Rondinelli slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Mehmet Bedri Uğursel. That made the score 2-0 after 22 minutes of play. Mehmet Bedri Uğursel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Adnan Yenay made a kick off. Eminönü's Baha Gazir got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Alfredo Rondinelli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Adnan Yenay's late challenge caught a Eminönü's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Adnan Yenay helped the player get up and apologised. After some careless play in the YOLBAŞI FC defense, İlbey Özgan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mehmet Bedri Uğursel. The YOLBAŞI FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mehmet Bedri Uğursel should have stopped the shot. If Baha Gazir had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute.
