The audience thought a goal was coming when Ferid Tun got free with Cenan Yağızkan in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Hazım Öksüz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ahmet Hamdi Onuker having to interfere. Hazım Öksüz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 47 minutes had been played when some careless play by SAMSUNG's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ali Nejat Tulun was slow to take the kick. Dündar İkinci was shown his second yellow card after 74 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing SAMSUNG would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
