Ali Cengiz Serhan really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. The supporters of Meric booed when Bogazkale was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. The supporters of Meric booed when Bogazkale was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ömer Geçimoğlu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Meric's Yüksel Özmut got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Okan Toker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 47th minute the ball was on its way in behind Bogazkale's goalkeeper Cevdet Özozan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Meric's Ali Behzat Atabey played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mustafa Arif Sarpkan in the 56th minute of play. Yüksel Özmut sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Atalay Sanal hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. 64 minutes into the game, Ali Cengiz Serhan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Cevdet Özozan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Cevdet Özozan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yüksel Özmut in the 68th minute of the match. If Bahadır Çelen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ali Behzat Atabey showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mustafa Arif Sarpkan, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. In the 79th minute, Yüksel Özmut got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 81st minute, Bahadır Çelen left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Meric fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. In the 84th minute Ali Cengiz Serhan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cevdet Özozan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 88 minutes into the match, Meric's Bahadır Çelen sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cevdet Özozan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Mustafa Arif Sarpkan kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ali Behzat Atabey. That made the score 3-3 in the 93 minute of play. Meric were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Bogazkale to leave the ground with a draw.
