The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 2 minutes into the game, Battal Seyyit Tümel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. KÖRFEZSK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sultanhamam the free kick. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Battal Seyyit Tümel couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Engin İmge during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Şükrü Erşahin came out of the goal in the 82nd minute to try and stop a shot by Sultanhamam's Beyhan Melik. But to his dismay, Beyhan Melik quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2.
