Spectators: 6676 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1676, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Yaşar Nuri Toralp started the match with the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mustafa Hakan Kotuzhan in the 9th minute of play forced Giresun SK's goalkeeper Gürbüz Orkutay to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Pilot's Özdemir Ağyar got a free kick in the 11th minute. If Mustafa Hakan Kotuzhan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Giresun SK defense, Mustafa Hakan Kotuzhan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gürbüz Orkutay. The Giresun SK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gürbüz Orkutay should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Giresun SK's Akif Timurkan got a free kick in the 20th minute. Mustafa Hakan Kotuzhan struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Gürbüz Orkutay didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pilot. A collision led to Giresun SK getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Cihan Özakın hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mustafa Hakan Kotuzhan in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gürbüz Orkutay saved Giresun SK from getting behind. In the 33rd minute Yaşar Nuri Toralp shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hayri Yesar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Yaşar Nuri Toralp came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Giresun SK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Yaşar Nuri Toralp couldn't finish the play. Yaşar Nuri Toralp recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mehmet Osman Beytekin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Hayri Yesar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mustafa Hakan Kotuzhan made a kick off. If Yılmaz Ongun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Mustafa Hakan Kotuzhan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 63rd minute of the match, Mustafa Hakan Kotuzhan tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Gürbüz Orkutay saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Hayri Yesar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yaşar Nuri Toralp in the 67th minute of play. The supporters of Giresun SK booed when Pilot was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Özdemir Ağyar didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 71 minutes, Yılmaz Ongun managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pilot's supporters crossed their fingers, but Yılmaz Ongun was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Giresun SK's Mehmet Osman Beytekin got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Yılmaz Ongun fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gürbüz Orkutay having to interfere. In the 85th minute, Yaşar Nuri Toralp got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 88th minute of the match Arif Oğuz Bedel shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hayri Yesar showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 90thth minute of the game Yaşar Nuri Toralp who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pilot's Hayri Yesar was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Mustafa Hakan Kotuzhan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Akif Timurkan hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Mustafa Hakan Kotuzhan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gürbüz Orkutay having to interfere. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Pilot had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
