After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Ahmet Hafiz Özal managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rize's supporters rose to their feet, but Ahmet Hafiz Özal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. İsmail Tekinel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ahmet Hafiz Özal might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over İsmail Tekinel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ahmet Hafiz Özal ran back to his position shaking his head. İsmail Tekinel came out of the goal in the 21st minute to try and stop a shot by Rize's Kutluay İzci. But to his dismay, Kutluay İzci quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. A collision led to Rize getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Refik Sertaç hit a great ball. In the 29th minute, Kutluay İzci made a precise shot to the right of İsmail Tekinel. Tesvikiye's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. In the 36th minute Kutluay İzci shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but İsmail Tekinel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 39 minutes into the game, Yetkiner Ulucan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rize's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tesvikiye the free kick. Cafer Akadlı charged in rather forcefully in the 78th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cafer Akadlı the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Tesvikiye's Cafer Akadlı got a free kick in the 78th minute. Abdülhak Taki received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Hasan Can Akyel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kutluay İzci fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without İsmail Tekinel having to interfere.
