When Benislav Haytov came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Yesilhisar fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Benislav Haytov couldn't finish the play. Abidin Akbaşak showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Atilla Bumin Acaröz, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. In the 30th minute, Atilla Bumin Acaröz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Eşref Soysan's late challenge caught a Yesilhisar's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Benislav Haytov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abidin Akbaşak having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.
