After a rather tough play, Ordu's Metehan Nuralp got a free kick in the 9th minute. Oğuzalp Özsan made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Sakut Kutsoy sent off a good shot on target. With a little luck, Ordu's Oğuzalp Özsan got control of the ball when Sakut Kutsoy tried to sneak it across the goal line. Rafettin Orkutay sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 27 minutes of play, Ordu's Lütfi Kutan made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Devlet Erduran was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a defensive mix-up in Ankesor's zone, Lütfi Kutan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Devlet Erduran came out of the goal and Lütfi Kutan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 34 minutes into the match, Ordu's Rafettin Orkutay sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Devlet Erduran narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Rafettin Orkutay fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Devlet Erduran having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 41 minutes, Rafettin Orkutay put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Devlet Erduran. Oğuzalp Özsan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Murat Şam, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half Ordu were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Murat Şam made a kick off. Bulut Ongen's late challenge caught a Ordu's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bulut Ongen helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Ordu booed when Ankesor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bulut Ongen didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Ankesor's Devlet Erduran got control of the ball when Rafettin Orkutay tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 62nd minute, Ordu's Davut Süreyya seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Davut Süreyya the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Ordu protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Davut Süreyya had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 64th minute there was a penalty for Ankesor. Ali Usum stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Oğuzalp Özsan. 1-2. Sakut Kutsoy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Ordu defense, Murat Şam kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Oğuzalp Özsan. The Ordu fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Oğuzalp Özsan should have stopped the shot. If Rafettin Orkutay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Murat Şam scored 3-2 in the 82nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Oğuzalp Özsan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Ahmet Gökalp Akbora managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ordu's supporters rose to their feet, but Ahmet Gökalp Akbora was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Devlet Erduran breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Rafettin Orkutay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Ankesor getting a freekick after 98 minutes play. Ali Usum hit a great ball. The Ankesor players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
