Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Sefa Urza started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Cesur Tuğaltay fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Altan Emrettin having to interfere. Sabin Quesada recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ufuk Tunçbilek sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kayserispor FK's Mehmet Hakkı Baltaş played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ufuk Tunçbilek in the 30th minute of play. Mehmet Hakkı Baltaş showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sabin Quesada, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. In the 43rd minute Sabin Quesada shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mehmet Hakkı Baltaş saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Kayserispor FK's Namık Kemal Kurceren got a free kick in the 44th minute. Mehmet Hakkı Baltaş took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brencis Bačinskis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half Akşehir were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Brencis Bačinskis got free with Mehmet Hakkı Baltaş in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 53 minutes into the match, Kayserispor FK's goalkeeper Mehmet Hakkı Baltaş had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sabin Quesada. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Esen Nuri couldn't finish the play. Sabin Quesada received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Mehmet Hakkı Baltaş tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Cesur Tuğaltay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee showed Ufuk Tunçbilek the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Sabin Quesada managed to get in a good position for a shot. Akşehir's supporters rose to their feet, but Sabin Quesada was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mehmet Hakkı Baltaş breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sabin Quesada fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mehmet Hakkı Baltaş having to interfere. When the final whistle sounded Akşehir left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Kayserispor FK.
