The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ahmet Emir Yezid to make the kick off. Cabbar Akova was shown his second yellow card after 53 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After a rather tough play, 1453 İstanbulspor's Cabbar Akova got a free kick in the 54th minute. 1453 İstanbulspor's Jose Brun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ceyhun Özertan in the 55th minute of play. Mete Cangiray was left in no man's land by his defense there! 84 minutes into the match, Besim Münib notched a goal, 4-2, to the right of Gürün's Mete Cangiray. Mete Cangiray was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to 1453 İstanbulspor getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. The audience was convinced that Besim Münib's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mete Cangiray was relentless in the 91st minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Gürün's zone, Besim Münib stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mete Cangiray came out of the goal and Besim Münib tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. 1453 İstanbulspor had won after a very even match.
