An unexpectedly hard shot by Pars Lemi in the 6th minute of play forced Gürün's goalkeeper Mete Cangiray to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With his leg Mete Cangiray managed to avoid a goal in the 7thth minute, when Bozcaada SK's Mehmet Perver fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Bilgehan Zeki stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ceyhun Özertan's shot from short distance in the 46th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Ceyhun Özertan did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-2 to the left of a surprised Bilgehan Zeki 51 minutes into the match. In the 59th minute Hüsamettin Orak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mete Cangiray saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gürün's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ceyhun Özertan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Ceyhun Özertan kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Bilgehan Zeki. That made the score 0-4 in the 92 minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Gürün's zone, Mehmet Perver stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mete Cangiray came out of the goal and Mehmet Perver tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gürün's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
