An unexpectedly hard shot by Ahmet Çağrı Erol in the 5th minute of play forced galatasaray's goalkeeper Hurşit Namık to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Nejat Namal's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hurşit Namık was relentless in the 7th minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Aybar Durusoy managed to get in a good position for a shot. galatasaray's supporters rose to their feet, but Aybar Durusoy was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Azim Kıralp breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 15 minutes into the match, Aybar Durusoy had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Azim Kıralp. Armutlu JK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Aybar Durusoy was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Hurşit Namık made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hüsmen Akar in the 19th minute. Atabek Kirtekin kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Hakkı Onur Ötüken's late challenge caught a galatasaray's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hakkı Onur Ötüken helped the player get up and apologised. In a very dangerous position, a player in Armutlu JK fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 28th minute. Penalty! Azim Kıralp had in the 30thth minute some difficulties stopping Seyfullah İspirli's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After 30 minutes of play, galatasaray's Seyfullah İspirli made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Azim Kıralp was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ahmet Ömür Hataylı received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Azim Kıralp tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hurşit Namık took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nejat Namal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 37th minute, Nejat Namal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Azim Kıralp showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aybar Durusoy in the 40th minute of the match. 45 minutes into the match, galatasaray's goal looked a bit too open when Cavit Candeğer came free, but Hurşit Namık reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nejat Namal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Aybar Durusoy stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Hüsmen Akar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. galatasaray's Atabek Kirtekin got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Hüsmen Akar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Armutlu JK's supporters rose to their feet, but Hüsmen Akar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hurşit Namık breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 63 minutes into the match, Armutlu JK's goalkeeper Azim Kıralp had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ahmet Ömür Hataylı. Cavit Candeğer's late challenge caught a galatasaray's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cavit Candeğer helped the player get up and apologised. Cavit Candeğer hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Hurşit Namık stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hüsmen Akar's shot from short distance in the 70th minute. 77 minutes into the game, Ceyhun Yanıker was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Armutlu JK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave galatasaray the free kick. When Aybar Durusoy, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 78 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Azim Kıralp was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Hurşit Namık came out of the goal in the 81st minute to try and stop a shot by Armutlu JK's Nejat Namal. But to his dismay, Nejat Namal quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Hurşit Namık made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nejat Namal in the 85th minute of play. Hurşit Namık showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hüsmen Akar, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. In the 86th match minute, galatasaray was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Atabek Kirtekin to maneuver through the defense. Nejat Namal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hüsmen Akar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hurşit Namık having to interfere. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
