Halil Utku Şerafeddin got his second yellow card in the match during the 35th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After 36 played minutes Merzifon got a freekick which was hit by Halil Utku Şerafeddin. A collision led to Merzifon getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Alemdar Neşat hit a great ball. Saracheva's Gürel Başay got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Özgün Mustafali took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gürel Başay, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match clock showed 42 minutes, the score became 0-5 when Gürel Başay sped through Merzifon's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Özgün Mustafali.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Menderes Acaroğlu made a kick off. Ahmet İlke Bekiroğlu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Menderes Acaroğlu, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Şahin Şahinalp fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Özgün Mustafali having to interfere. Through an outstanding action, after 74 minutes, Özgün Mustafali successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. With a little luck, Merzifon's Özgün Mustafali got control of the ball when Şahin Şahinalp tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Merzifon getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Ahmet Koralp Dalayer hit a great ball. 81 minutes into the match, Merzifon's goal looked a bit too open when Gürel Başay came free, but Özgün Mustafali reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
