The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the match, Murgul FK's goalkeeper Kandemir Haylaz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gökhun Perk. 10 minutes into the match, Ceyhan JK's goal looked a bit too open when Hürkan Zeki came free, but Şadi Doğulu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gökhun Perk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kandemir Haylaz having to interfere. Murgul FK's Kandemir Haylaz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erdinç Coşkunsu in the 15th minute of play. Kandemir Haylaz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erdinç Coşkunsu in the 16th minute of the match. After 19 played minutes Ceyhan JK got a freekick which was hit by Göktan Tanyeri. Ramazan Muhtar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Şadi Doğulu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Ramazan Muhtar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hürkan Zeki took the ball and in the 25 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Şadi Doğulu. Şadi Doğulu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in Murgul FK's zone, Gökhun Perk stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kandemir Haylaz came out of the goal and Gökhun Perk tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ramazan Muhtar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Ceyhan JK defense, Hürkan Zeki kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Şadi Doğulu. The Ceyhan JK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Şadi Doğulu should have stopped the shot. Ceyhan JK's Gökhun Perk got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 47th minute, Bektaş Veli İhtiyar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The long shot by Gazanfer Özcan Rehber in the 48th minute really tested Kandemir Haylaz's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Ramazan Muhtar made the kick off in the second half. Erdinç Coşkunsu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kandemir Haylaz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erdinç Coşkunsu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gökhun Perk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kandemir Haylaz having to interfere. In the 63rd minute Erdinç Coşkunsu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kandemir Haylaz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 72nd minute, Bahri Özakın hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 76 minutes, Erdinç Coşkunsu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ceyhan JK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Erdinç Coşkunsu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gökhun Perk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 81 minutes, Gökhun Perk managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ceyhan JK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gökhun Perk was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Kandemir Haylaz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erdinç Coşkunsu in the 83rd minute of play. If Gökhun Perk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute.
