Spectators: 7217 (Terracing: 5414, Seating: 1660, VIP seats: 143) Mevlüt Mahçup started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Taksim's Raik Yertan got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, GÖZTEPE's Talip Köksan got control of the ball when Raik Yertan tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Abdulkerim Dursunali came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Taksim fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abdulkerim Dursunali couldn't finish the play. In the 22nd minute, Kuddusî Koyak hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 23 played minutes, Taksim's Behçet Çetinalp shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Talip Köksan came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Taksim reached it. Berker Rıza Durukan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Doğukan Özdurdu having to interfere. In the 25th match minute, Taksim was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cemal Nurbay to maneuver through the defense. In the 31st minute, Taksim's Abdulkerim Dursunali dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. After 35 played minutes GÖZTEPE got a freekick which was hit by Kunter Sadiray. 36 minutes into the match, Taksim's Behçet Çetinalp broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. GÖZTEPE's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Abdulkerim Dursunali 38 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-0. In the 42nd minute Mevlüt Mahçup shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Doğukan Özdurdu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Taksim getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Abdulkerim Dursunali hit a great ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Abdulkerim Dursunali to make the kick off. With a little luck, Taksim's Doğukan Özdurdu got control of the ball when Berker Rıza Durukan tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the match had gone on for 53 minutes, Mevlüt Mahçup took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Doğukan Özdurdu to make any attempt to save it. Abdulkerim Dursunali scored 3-1 in the 58th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Talip Köksan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abdulkerim Dursunali in the 62nd minute of play forced GÖZTEPE's goalkeeper Talip Köksan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 64th minute Mevlüt Mahçup shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Doğukan Özdurdu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 67th minute, Mevlüt Mahçup got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mevlüt Mahçup in the 68th minute of play forced Taksim's goalkeeper Doğukan Özdurdu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Taksim's zone, Mevlüt Mahçup stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Doğukan Özdurdu came out of the goal and Mevlüt Mahçup tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Raik Yertan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 81 minutes, Kunter Sadiray mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the GÖZTEPE and the Taksim players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 81st match minute, GÖZTEPE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kunter Sadiray to maneuver through the defense. GÖZTEPE's Talip Köksan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raik Yertan in the 83rd minute of play. Kunter Sadiray was shown his second yellow card after 84 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. The supporters of Taksim booed when GÖZTEPE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kunter Sadiray didn't get a good kick on the ball. Abdulkerim Dursunali's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Talip Köksan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. 87 minutes into the match, Abdulkerim Dursunali had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Talip Köksan. GÖZTEPE's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Abdulkerim Dursunali was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. Abdulkerim Dursunali sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Raik Yertan in the 98th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Talip Köksan prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
