Erhan Kelami showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cüneyt Vefik in the 25th minute of the match. Catalca JK's Nuratay Neyzen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gürol Engintalay in the 26th minute of play. Etimesgut's Erhan Kelami proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Etimesgut from getting a goal against them. With an all-out effort, Catalca JK's Erhan Kelami threw himself towards the right post 36 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Cüneyt Vefik, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 38th match minute, Etimesgut was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gürol Engintalay to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Catalca JK's Yakup Kadri Korcan tried to score from far away in the 39th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Baysal Mukaddes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Nuratay Neyzen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nuratay Neyzen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from İsmail Öveç in the 47th minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cüneyt Vefik to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Catalca JK's zone, Baysal Mukaddes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nuratay Neyzen came out of the goal and Baysal Mukaddes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Cüneyt Vefik managed to get in a good position for a shot. Catalca JK's supporters rose to their feet, but Cüneyt Vefik was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Erhan Kelami breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In a very dangerous position, a player in Etimesgut fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 56th minute. Penalty! In the 62nd minute Baysal Mukaddes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nuratay Neyzen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
