The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ali Kağan Ünverdi showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Seyfullah Alan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Binali Secavend in the 40th minute of play. Real Madrid's Ali Kağan Ünverdi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kartal Ozaner in the 42nd minute of play. 43 minutes into the match, Real Madrid's goal looked a bit too open when Gencal Kumuk came free, but Ali Kağan Ünverdi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cemalettin Afşar kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The G A Z i A N T E P SPOR fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Seyfullah Alan should have stopped the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Binali Secavend in the 85th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Seyfullah Alan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Real Madrid's Ali Kağan Ünverdi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save Real Madrid from getting a goal against them. Çağdaş Necid received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Ali Kağan Ünverdi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 92nd minute the ball was on its way in behind G A Z i A N T E P SPOR's goalkeeper Seyfullah Alan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Real Madrid's Binali Secavend in the 94th minute got a chance for a shot 94th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye G A Z i A N T E P SPOR's goalie prevented a goal. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Real Madrid had won after a very even match.
