Mümtazer Suavi charged in rather forcefully in the 3rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mümtazer Suavi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Mümtazer Suavi hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. Mikail Sani struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Serhat Yetener didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gerger. If Recep Tayyip Korkut had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Mikail Sani managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gerger's supporters rose to their feet, but Mikail Sani was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Serhat Yetener breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Serhat Yetener showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mehmet Hakkı Uğuray, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Mehmet Hakkı Uğuray received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Serhat Yetener tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 22 minutes into the game, Kartal Yazganalp cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Ensar Akçakaya was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 26 minutes into the game, Hüseyin Cahit Kaya was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kocasinan JK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gerger the free kick. After 26 played minutes Kocasinan JK got a freekick which was hit by Hüseyin Cahit Kaya. The supporters of Kocasinan JK booed when Gerger was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fazıl Hüsnü Özonder didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Gerger's Mehmet Hakkı Uğuray in the 42nd minute got a chance for a shot 42nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Kocasinan JK's goalie prevented a goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mehmet Hakkı Uğuray was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to Gerger getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Fazıl Hüsnü Özonder hit a great ball. Kartal Yazganalp recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Kocasinan JK getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Ahmet Hayri Özen hit a great ball. If Mehmet Hakkı Uğuray had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 64 minutes, Fazıl Hüsnü Özonder managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gerger's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fazıl Hüsnü Özonder was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 67th minute, Mikail Sani got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 68th minute, Fazıl Hüsnü Özonder hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Recep Tayyip Korkut managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kocasinan JK's supporters rose to their feet, but Recep Tayyip Korkut was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ensar Akçakaya breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 79th minute, Mehmet Hakkı Uğuray reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Serhat Yetener. The goal made the score 1-1. 82 minutes into the match, Kocasinan JK's goal looked a bit too open when Mehmet Hakkı Uğuray came free, but Serhat Yetener reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mehmet Hakkı Uğuray sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 86th minute, Fazıl Hüsnü Özonder ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Serhat Yetener was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Kartal Yazganalp's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ensar Akçakaya read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 97th minute of play. Gerger played a much better game than Kocasinan JK and deserved their victory. The Kocasinan JK players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
