The referee ignored Galatasaray's protests and gave Yalçın Türeli a yellow card for diving instead. In the 6th minute, one of Galatasaray:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Galatasaray. Halit Ülkümen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Ömür Buyruk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mevlüt Somer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aytaç Yley, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Raik Özveren charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Raik Özveren the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Galatasaray getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Şevket Ökmen hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Peker Çelikkan got free with Mevlüt Somer in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 22 minutes into the game, Halit Ülkümen cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Ömür Buyruk was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a defensive mix-up in Seferihisar FK's zone, Halit Ülkümen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ömür Buyruk came out of the goal and Halit Ülkümen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 30 minutes into the match, Galatasaray's goal looked a bit too open when Alper Gemici came free, but Mevlüt Somer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Seferihisar FK booed when Galatasaray was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Halit Kiner didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aytaç Yleys short, quick shot in the 39thth minute got Mevlüt Somer to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 41 minutes into the game, Alper Gemici recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Mevlüt Somer. Alper Gemici showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Galatasaray's Mevlüt Somer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aytaç Yley in the 53rd minute of play. Fazıl Kalagay fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mevlüt Somer having to interfere. Alper Gemici struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Mevlüt Somer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Seferihisar FK. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aytaç Yley in the 62nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mevlüt Somer prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 65th minute the ball was on its way in behind Galatasaray's goalkeeper Mevlüt Somer, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Mevlüt Somer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alper Gemici in the 69th minute of the match. In the 74th minute 肖振挺 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mevlüt Somer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 75 minutes into the match, Fazıl Kalagay notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Galatasaray's Mevlüt Somer. Mevlüt Somer was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Seferihisar FK's Kuddusî Mesut was substituted for Nazif Üstünbay. The audience was convinced that Sinan Uygar's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mevlüt Somer was relentless in the 84th minute of the game. Seferihisar FK's Aytaç Yley got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
