Ali Emir Akdemirci showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ahmet Baki Usbay in the 3rd minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Gökhun Kırca kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ali Emir Akdemirci. That made the score 1-0 in the 7 minute of play. Galatasaray's Halit Ülkümen got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 15 minutes into the match, Zonguldakspor FK's goalkeeper Ali Emir Akdemirci had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Halit Ülkümen. Halit Ülkümen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Ali Emir Akdemirci tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ahmet Harun Kazak recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Ahmet Ömür Tankoç had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ertaç Haspolatlı fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ali Emir Akdemirci having to interfere. Ali Emir Akdemirci took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ahmet Baki Usbay, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ahmet Harun Kazak sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Halit Ülkümen might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ali Emir Akdemirci. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Halit Ülkümen ran back to his position shaking his head. Mevlüt Somer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ahmet Harun Kazak in the 43rd minute of play. Ali Emir Akdemirci made an important save on a dangerous shot by Halit Ülkümen in the 46th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

52 minutes into the match, Galatasaray's goalkeeper Mevlüt Somer had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ahmet Harun Kazak. In the 63rd minute Halit Ülkümen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ali Emir Akdemirci saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ersan Yanıker during the 69th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Zonguldakspor FK's Ersan Yanıker got a free kick in the 69th minute.
