A collision led to Van getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Bilge Kağan Orhon hit a great ball. A wasted opportunity for Arpacay SK. 9 minutes into the match, Arpacay SK's Cenap Ergüden sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bora Tanyıldız narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ömer Rıza Özveren in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lefter Lema saved Arpacay SK from getting behind. Arpacay SK's Lefter Lema played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aysan Batırhan in the 27th minute of play. 29 minutes into the match, Van's Ömer Rıza Özveren sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lefter Lema narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Lefter Lema showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ömer Rıza Özveren in the 34th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aysan Batırhan in the 36th minute of play forced Arpacay SK's goalkeeper Lefter Lema to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Arpacay SK's Berkin Sualp got a free kick in the 39th minute. Ömer Rıza Özveren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lefter Lema having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

In the 61st minute, Ömer Rıza Özveren fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Lefter Lema, passed just outside the right post. Ersan Ertaş kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Bora Tanyıldız made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tanju Kural in the 67th minute of play. Van's Ömer Rıza Özveren got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 72 minutes into the game, Baskın Erva was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Van's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Arpacay SK the free kick. In a very dangerous position, a player in Van fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 71st minute. Penalty! The referee gave Arpacay SK a penalty, 74 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Müslüm Uygar, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Van's Bora Tanyıldız. 2-0. In the 78th minute, Ömer Rıza Özveren reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Lefter Lema. The goal made the score 2-1. Ömer Rıza Özveren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tanju Kural fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bora Tanyıldız having to interfere. Arpacay SK's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
