The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Yedikule FK. In the 5th minute, Fahrettin Tuncal ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Okan Rikap was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. In the 7th minute, Garip Acar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Garip Acar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 12th match minute, Yedikule FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ahmet Kadri Hattat to maneuver through the defense. In the 15th minute Erdal Onaran shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Okan Rikap saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Yedikule FK's Okan Rikap got control of the ball when Mehmet Halis Acaröz tried to sneak it across the goal line. Okan Rikap made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erdal Onaran in the 24th minute of play. Yesilköy's Mehmet Halis Acaröz got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Through an outstanding action, after 27 minutes, Okan Rikap successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Okan Rikap took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erdal Onaran, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 32 played minutes Yedikule FK got a freekick which was hit by Ahmet Kadri Hattat. When Turan Serdaroğlu fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Yesilköy's protests and gave Turan Serdaroğlu a yellow card for diving instead. In the 45th match minute, Yesilköy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Turan Serdaroğlu to maneuver through the defense. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Erdal Onaran scored 3-0 in the 53rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Okan Rikap, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erdal Onaran in the 82nd minute of play forced Yedikule FK's goalkeeper Okan Rikap to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 90 minutes into the game, Rahmi Mutluer cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-0. Okan Rikap was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Yesilköy fans cheered their team off the field, for while Yedikule FK had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
