Kigi's Abdurrahim Şennur played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erdal Onaran in the 3rd minute of play. Egemen Şemsifer hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. In the 8th minute, Rahmi Mutluer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Mehmet Halis Acaröz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sermet Cilasun received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Şimşek Zülfikar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 21st minute Erdal Onaran shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abdurrahim Şennur saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sermet Cilasun received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Şimşek Zülfikar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee gave Kigi a penalty, 27 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Gazanfer Özcan Uçbeyi, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Yesilköy's Şimşek Zülfikar. 0-1. Erdal Onaran recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match had gone on for 39 minutes, Sermet Cilasun put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Şimşek Zülfikar. After 47 played minutes Kigi got a freekick which was hit by Turgut Özçevik. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Şimşek Zülfikar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sermet Cilasun in the 52nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gazanfer Özcan Uçbeyi in the 53rd minute of play forced Yesilköy's goalkeeper Şimşek Zülfikar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Şimşek Zülfikar made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sermet Cilasun in the 55th minute. Süleyman Resai kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Sermet Cilasun received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Şimşek Zülfikar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sermet Cilasun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Sermet Cilasun fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Şimşek Zülfikar having to interfere. The long shot by Baran Sevimli in the 69th minute really tested Şimşek Zülfikar's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. In a very dangerous position, a player in Kigi fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 71st minute. Penalty! The referee gave Yesilköy a penalty, 74 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Fahrettin Tuncal, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Kigi's Abdurrahim Şennur. 1-2. Mehmet Halis Acaröz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kigi's Egemen Şemsifer got his second yellow card of the match in the 80th minute. The referee ordered Egemen Şemsifer off the ground. Egemen Şemsifer hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Göktan Kartal might have been able to make a better finish in the 91st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Şimşek Zülfikar. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Göktan Kartal ran back to his position shaking his head. Sermet Cilasun's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 93rdth minute, Şimşek Zülfikar skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 95 minutes into the match, Yesilköy's Mehmet Halis Acaröz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Abdurrahim Şennur narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Şimşek Zülfikar was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 97th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Abdulbaki Çelen. A collision led to Yesilköy getting a freekick after 98 minutes play. Atilla Kağan Uyun hit a great ball. The Kigi supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Kigi would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
