The referee ignored Gömec's protests and gave Bahri Dertsiz a yellow card for diving instead. If Baturalp Ahad had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fevzi Güdü took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Levent Nusret, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Gülsehir's zone, Levent Nusret stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fevzi Güdü came out of the goal and Levent Nusret tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Gömec getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Tugay Ülker hit a great ball. In the 25th minute Baturalp Ahad shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Necmi Revan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Erol Dalokay fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fevzi Güdü having to interfere. After 31 played minutes Gömec got a freekick which was hit by Erol Dalokay. Erenay İsmail kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. 35 minutes into the match, Gülsehir's goalkeeper Fevzi Güdü had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Erol Dalokay. Erol Dalokay fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fevzi Güdü having to interfere. Erenay İsmail kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. 40 minutes into the match, Erol Dalokay dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Fevzi Güdü, 1-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Necmi Revan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Baturalp Ahad's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. Anıl Berk Fidan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Necmi Revan made a huge save. Orçun Tuğaltay hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. 85 minutes had been played when some careless play by Gömec's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Aşkın Derim was slow to take the kick. During this time Gülsehir's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Yaşar Nuri Tokcan almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Gömec's Necmi Revan did a great save. Fevzi Güdü showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erol Dalokay in the 89th minute of the match. In the 90th minute Erol Dalokay shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fevzi Güdü saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Erol Dalokay recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gömec's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
