Ali Galip Hedef made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Onuralp Karaoğlan in the 34th minute of play. In the 38th match minute, Mersin İdman Yurdu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mümtaz Behram to maneuver through the defense. With his leg Anıl Mücahit Çolak managed to avoid a goal in the 41stth minute, when Kazan's Vahit Akbatu fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Ceyhun Ege showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. With a little luck, Kazan's Ali Galip Hedef got control of the ball when Ceyhun Ege tried to sneak it across the goal line. 67 minutes into the match, Kazan's goal looked a bit too open when Onuralp Karaoğlan came free, but Ali Galip Hedef reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ali Galip Hedef made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ceyhun Ege in the 80th minute. Alphan Tufan charged in rather forcefully in the 81st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alphan Tufan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 86 minutes into the game, Yaşar Nuri Şirvan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kazan's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mersin İdman Yurdu the free kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Yıldırım Yolaç in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ali Galip Hedef prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpected shot in the 98th minute by Abayhan Yetiş got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side.
