Haşim Çelikyay sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 34th match minute, Sinanpasa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arın Tokdemir to maneuver through the defense. In the 35th minute of the match Mustafa Haydar Tuğbay shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Habib Coşar showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When Haşim Çelikyay came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Sinanpasa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Haşim Çelikyay couldn't finish the play. Berke Hacısalihoğlu charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Berke Hacısalihoğlu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of istanbul SK booed when Sinanpasa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Berke Hacısalihoğlu didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 47 minutes, Ataol Recep took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Habib Coşar to make any attempt to save it. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Evren Şafak stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 58th minute Ataol Recep shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Habib Coşar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 62nd minute the ball was on its way in behind istanbul SK's goalkeeper Tayyip Tarab, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 64th minute, Evren Şafak reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Tayyip Tarab. The goal made the score 1-1. Tayyip Tarab showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Evren Şafak, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute.
