Lütfullah Merdan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mümtazer Yiğitcan having to interfere. 7 minutes into the match, Necatibey's goalkeeper Dursun Ergüç had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gürol Çelikyay. Kutalp Şam fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dursun Ergüç having to interfere. In the 16th minute, Gürol Çelikyay got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dursun Ergüç took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gürol Çelikyay, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Göle FK defense, Lütfullah Merdan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mümtazer Yiğitcan. The Göle FK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mümtazer Yiğitcan should have stopped the shot. In the 22nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Göle FK's goalkeeper Mümtazer Yiğitcan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 24th minute, Kutalp Şam got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 25 minutes, Rıfkı Atasan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Necatibey and the Göle FK players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Göle FK booed when Necatibey was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rıfkı Atasan didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 29 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Necatibey! Dilmen Öktuna shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Mümtazer Yiğitcan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lütfullah Merdan in the 34th minute of play. In the 36th minute Lütfullah Merdan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mümtazer Yiğitcan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 39 played minutes Necatibey got a freekick which was hit by Rıfkı Atasan. Mümtazer Yiğitcan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lütfullah Merdan in the 42nd minute of play. Cumali Dilsuz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Mümtazer Yiğitcan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The attack was good, but when Lütfullah Merdan in the 46th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Necdet Torel hit a great freekick 48 minutes into the match.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gürol Çelikyay to strike the kick off in the second half. Lütfullah Merdan succeeded in the game's 54th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-2. In the 59th minute Lütfullah Merdan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mümtazer Yiğitcan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Cumali Dilsuz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 64 minutes into the match, Necatibey's goal looked a bit too open when Hasan Can Dalayer came free, but Dursun Ergüç reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mümtazer Yiğitcan was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Afşin Gürçınar. When Cumali Dilsuz came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Necatibey fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cumali Dilsuz couldn't finish the play. 87 minutes into the match, Göle FK's goal looked a bit too open when Lütfullah Merdan came free, but Mümtazer Yiğitcan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
