Engin Pekdemir started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd minute Muhammet Nadir shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Doğuhan Eyüpoğlu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 4 played minutes Güzelyurt SK got a freekick which was hit by Aytaç Mahçup. Tolga Şahbender received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Doğuhan Eyüpoğlu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Tolga Şahbender had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Doğuhan Eyüpoğlu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Muhammet Nadir in the 10th minute of play. With 13 minutes on the clock, Servet Canaydin commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Güzelyurt SK fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 12th minute. Penalty! Doğuhan Eyüpoğlu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tolga Şahbender, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. The supporters of Bandırmagücü booed when Güzelyurt SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. İrfan Erincer didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 25th minute, Muhammet Nadir left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Bandırmagücü fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Muhammet Nadir recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Doğuhan Eyüpoğlu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tolga Şahbender in the 32nd minute of the match. In the 33rd minute Tolga Şahbender shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Doğuhan Eyüpoğlu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Doğuhan Eyüpoğlu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tolga Şahbender in the 35th minute of the match. If Muhammet Nadir had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tolga Şahbender's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Doğuhan Eyüpoğlu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. Muhammet Nadir fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Doğuhan Eyüpoğlu having to interfere. In the 43rd match minute, Güzelyurt SK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by İrfan Erincer to maneuver through the defense. The Güzelyurt SK players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Bandırmagücü were winning 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Muhammet Nadir made a kick off. Güzelyurt SK's Doğuhan Eyüpoğlu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save Güzelyurt SK from getting a goal against them. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Merih Ünlem during the 60th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ahmet Hayri Orhan hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. If Saffet Saip had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. İrfan Erincer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Tolga Şahbender managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bandırmagücü's supporters rose to their feet, but Tolga Şahbender was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Doğuhan Eyüpoğlu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tolga Şahbender sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bandırmagücü's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
