Pars Özgen was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Işıkalp Erkılıç fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pars Özgen having to interfere. The supporters of Babak booed when Battalgazi JK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Necip Fazıl Kaşif didn't get a good kick on the ball. Babak were furious when Tayfun Çelikhan was red carded, 25 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 27th minute there was a penalty for Battalgazi JK. Babak's Ali Baran Pektürk proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Babak from getting a goal against them. In the 34th minute, Fazlı Özdilmaç got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gürol Eryetiş took the ball and in the 36 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pars Özgen. Pars Özgen dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Fazlı Özdilmaç sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pars Özgen came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by Babak's Gündüz Hekim. But to his dismay, Gündüz Hekim quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. After a defensive mix-up in Battalgazi JK's zone, Gürol Eryetiş stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pars Özgen came out of the goal and Gürol Eryetiş tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Fazlı Özdilmaç came up free with the goalie in the 48th minute, the Babak fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fazlı Özdilmaç couldn't finish the play.

The wind increased when Özbek Toran made the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute Fazlı Özdilmaç shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pars Özgen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
