But to his dismay, Kemalettin İşcan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After having played for 21 minutes, Enver Engiay managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. GÖZTEPE ARENA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Enver Engiay was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Abdulkerim Sureha came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the GÖZTEPE ARENA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abdulkerim Sureha couldn't finish the play. Enver Engiay struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Mustafa Hamit Sertel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for GÖZTEPE ARENA. After having played for 29 minutes, Enver Engiay managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. GÖZTEPE ARENA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Enver Engiay was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 30 minutes into the game, Gökmen Afak was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Merih Demiral FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave GÖZTEPE ARENA the free kick. A collision led to Merih Demiral FC getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Gökmen Afak hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Merih Demiral FC's Gökmen Afak got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Mustafa Hamit Sertel came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by GÖZTEPE ARENA's Abdulkerim Sureha. But to his dismay, Abdulkerim Sureha quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. With his leg Mustafa Hamit Sertel managed to avoid a goal in the 39thth minute, when GÖZTEPE ARENA's Enver Engiay fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The supporters of GÖZTEPE ARENA booed when Merih Demiral FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Akay Dürüst didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 42 played minutes GÖZTEPE ARENA got a freekick which was hit by Kutalp Acaröz. In the 44th minute Kemalettin İşcan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emrullah Zor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 45 minutes into the game, one of GÖZTEPE ARENA:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Özen Ongar shot the penalty kick right outside the post.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Kemalettin İşcan to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Enver Engiay in the 57th minute of play forced Merih Demiral FC's goalkeeper Mustafa Hamit Sertel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With his leg Emrullah Zor managed to avoid a goal in the 65thth minute, when Merih Demiral FC's Kemalettin İşcan fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Kemalettin İşcan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Enver Engiay fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mustafa Hamit Sertel having to interfere. With his leg Emrullah Zor managed to avoid a goal in the 76thth minute, when Merih Demiral FC's Kemalettin İşcan fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Kemalettin İşcan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 81 minutes, Enver Engiay managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. GÖZTEPE ARENA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Enver Engiay was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 83rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Merih Demiral FC's goalkeeper Mustafa Hamit Sertel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Emrullah Zor was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Erdoğan Çiftçi. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Enver Engiay managed to get in a good position for a shot. GÖZTEPE ARENA's supporters rose to their feet, but Enver Engiay was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mustafa Hamit Sertel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. For all the effort they put into the match, the Merih Demiral FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for GÖZTEPE ARENA.
