After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Hayyam Şükür managed to get in a good position for a shot. Eski Açık Sarı Desene's supporters rose to their feet, but Hayyam Şükür was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Korkut Sefir breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Enis Yalavaç sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 17th minute, Enis Yalavaç ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ahmet Haşim Kara was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. If Enis Yalavaç had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Derinkuyu SK's Enis Yalavaç in the 32nd minute got a chance for a shot 32nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Eski Açık Sarı Desene's goalie prevented a goal. Eski Açık Sarı Desene's Ahmet Haşim Kara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Enis Yalavaç in the 37th minute of play. Enis Yalavaç received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Ahmet Haşim Kara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Enis Yalavaç was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to Eski Açık Sarı Desene getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Selahaddin Onuktekin hit a great ball. In the 54th match minute, Eski Açık Sarı Desene was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aytek Yağızer to maneuver through the defense. Korkut Sefir showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Atabey Kutlug, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 58th minute of the game. One of Derinkuyu SK:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Eski Açık Sarı Desene:s goal. Korkut Sefir had in the 60thth minute some difficulties stopping Ersin Cespan's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Seyhan Ulum got free with Ahmet Haşim Kara in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Hayyam Şükür came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Eski Açık Sarı Desene fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hayyam Şükür couldn't finish the play. If Enis Yalavaç had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Seyhan Ulum fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ahmet Haşim Kara having to interfere. Enis Yalavaç recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ahmet Haşim Kara took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Enis Yalavaç, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vural Uçuk charged in rather forcefully in the 86th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vural Uçuk the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 85th minute, one of Eski Açık Sarı Desene:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Eski Açık Sarı Desene. The referee gave Derinkuyu SK a penalty, 87 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Tayfun Tayman, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Eski Açık Sarı Desene's Ahmet Haşim Kara. 1-2. Ahmet Haşim Kara made an important save on a dangerous shot by Seyhan Ulum in the 100th minute. When the final whistle sounded Derinkuyu SK left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Eski Açık Sarı Desene.
