Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Patnos's Sarper Özgen started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Sarper Özgen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Mazhar Baysoy came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Patnos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mazhar Baysoy couldn't finish the play. The crowd rose to their feet as Patnos's Sarper Özgen slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Mümin Timurhan. That made the score 1-0 after 8 minutes of play. After having played for 12 minutes, Şaban Borlu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Somaspor SK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Şaban Borlu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 13 played minutes Somaspor SK got a freekick which was hit by Erol Suyurgal. In the 15th minute, Sarper Özgen had to leave the field with a concussion. Hıdır Rasih's late challenge caught a Patnos's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hıdır Rasih helped the player get up and apologised. When the match had been going on for 17 minutes, Patnos's Özgün Tülün got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Mümin Timurhan. After a defensive mix-up in Somaspor SK's zone, Mazhar Baysoy stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mümin Timurhan came out of the goal and Mazhar Baysoy tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mazhar Baysoy's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mümin Timurhan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. Patnos's Taner Akağan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Resul Kabak in the 24th minute of play. Şaban Borlu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Taner Akağan having to interfere. 30 minutes into the match, Somaspor SK's goalkeeper Mümin Timurhan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mazhar Baysoy. After 32 minutes of play, Somaspor SK's Şaban Borlu made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Taner Akağan was left in no man's land by his defense there! 36 minutes into the match, Mazhar Baysoy notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Somaspor SK's Mümin Timurhan. Ali Kürşat Ekabir struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Taner Akağan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Somaspor SK. After a rather tough play, Patnos's Saffet Özgan got a free kick in the 78th minute. Turgut Üçer's late challenge caught a Somaspor SK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. After some careless play in the Somaspor SK defense, Mazhar Baysoy kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mümin Timurhan. The Somaspor SK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mümin Timurhan should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Somaspor SK booed when Patnos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hasan Onursoy didn't get a good kick on the ball. 91 minutes into the game Nuri Enbiya came into a good position and shot a long shot on goal. In spite of Taner Akağan trying to reach the ball it went through just inside the left pole. 5-2. Resul Kabak sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mümin Timurhan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mazhar Baysoy's shot from short distance in the 96th minute. 98 minutes into the game, Hasan Onursoy cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-2. Mümin Timurhan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the referee ended the match the Patnos players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
