In the 22nd minute Sarper Özgen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mutlu Remzi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 23 minutes into the match, Alaaddin Özgur had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Taner Akağan. Patnos's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alaaddin Özgur was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Mazhar Baysoy who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 26thth minute tested the skills of Mutlu Remzi when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When Halis Sargan was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 32 minutes had been played. In the 33rd match minute, Karakocan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Halis Sargan to maneuver through the defense. Mazhar Baysoy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mutlu Remzi having to interfere. Alaaddin Özgur fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Taner Akağan having to interfere. If Yusuf Buyruk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sarper Özgen stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Karakocan's Kamuran Temizer got a free kick in the 51st minute. 57 minutes into the match, Karakocan's goal looked a bit too open when Mazhar Baysoy came free, but Mutlu Remzi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Alaaddin Özgur had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Birol Yolaç's late challenge caught a Patnos's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Birol Yolaç helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Patnos booed when Karakocan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Birol Yolaç didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mazhar Baysoy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Mutlu Remzi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Özgün Tülün hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alaaddin Özgur got free with Taner Akağan in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mutlu Remzi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sarper Özgen in the 93rd minute of the match. Bilgin Seyban received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Taner Akağan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Turgut Üçer fell near the penalty area in the 97th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Patnos's protests and gave Turgut Üçer a yellow card for diving instead.
