Spectators: 6294 (Terracing: 4500, Seating: 1652, VIP seats: 142) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Sedat Taif started the match with the kick off. After a rather tough play, Köprübasi's Erdal Özalp got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Sedat Taif struck a weak shot in the 4th minute. Habib Sanal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Köprübasi. Çakabey Namık fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Birol Toktaş having to interfere. After 9 played minutes Köprübasi got a freekick which was hit by Aşır Evvel. Çakabey Namık received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Birol Toktaş tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 12th minute Kutay Okutan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Birol Toktaş saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Habib Sanal was a little too slow when Sedat Taif got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 13th minute. The score was now 1-0. Çakabey Namık received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Birol Toktaş tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Tokatspor's zone, Baturhan Sunay stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Habib Sanal came out of the goal and Baturhan Sunay tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Köprübasi's Sedat Taif in the 31st minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Habib Sanal was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Tokatspor through an amazing save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sedat Taif in the 35th minute of play forced Tokatspor's goalkeeper Habib Sanal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Sedat Taif managed to get in a good position for a shot. Köprübasi's supporters rose to their feet, but Sedat Taif was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Habib Sanal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Köprübasi's Yasin Nabi got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 42 minutes into the match, Tokatspor's goalkeeper Habib Sanal had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Yasin Nabi. Habib Sanal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sedat Taif in the 43rd minute of the match. 48 minutes into the game, Köprübasi's Baturhan Sunay nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Habib Sanal made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Çakabey Namık was the one to do the kick off. In the 58th minute, İsmail Cem Kamaci reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Birol Toktaş. The goal made the score 2-1. The supporters of Köprübasi booed when Tokatspor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kutay Okutan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Birol Toktaş showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mehmet Hakkı Veysel, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Erdal Özalp hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Sedat Taif recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 72 played minutes Köprübasi got a freekick which was hit by Erdal Özalp. In the 82nd minute Sedat Taif shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Habib Sanal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 90th minute Baturhan Sunay shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Habib Sanal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. İsmail Cem Kamaci came free with the goalkeeper in the 95th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Birol Toktaş could save by the left post. For all the effort they put into the match, the Tokatspor players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Köprübasi.
