Dolapdere's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Demirözü the free kick. A collision led to Dolapdere getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Fethi Şanver hit a great ball. After 8 minutes of play, Dolapdere's Baysal Mürşit made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Berkay Başkur was left in no man's land by his defense there! Baysal Mürşit sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Baysal Mürşit had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Berkay Başkur made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baysal Mürşit in the 26th minute of play. After having played for 29 minutes, Şinasi Barçın managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Demirözü's Berkay Başkur played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baysal Mürşit in the 40th minute of play. Berkay Başkur showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Şinasi Barçın, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. A hard shot by Ahmet Refik Kamver from long distance, 45 minutes into the match, got Turgay Özgenay's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. If Baysal Mürşit had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half Dolapdere were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Şinasi Barçın received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Berkay Başkur tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 56th minute, Baysal Mürşit fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. The supporters of Demirözü booed when Dolapdere was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fethi Şanver didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 65th minute Baysal Mürşit shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Berkay Başkur saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Berkay Başkur took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baysal Mürşit, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Turgay Özgenay came out of the goal and Coşkun Balkanlıoğlu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dolapdere's Şinasi Barçın got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dolapdere's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
